d PP prices firmed this week in Asia. Prices climbed on the back of stronger upstream propylene prices coupled with rising worries about a regional availability tightness. PP injection and PP raffia grade prices were assessed up at the USD 1620/mt CFR Far East Asia levels while PP block copolymer prices were assessed up at the USD 1690/mt levels. On a CFR South East Asia basis, PP injection and PP raffia grade prices were assessed at the USD 1680/mt levels while PP block copolymer prices were assessed up at the USD 1715/mt CFR South East Asia levels. In India, local producers hiked their prices of PP this week. An across the board hike of Rs 2/kg was announced. In China, where availability of PP is tight, local prices are on the march higher. Local petrochemical producer Sinopec is reported to have revised upward its PP prices this week. Ex work prices were increased by Yuan 400/mt to Yuan 12,800/mt levels.
